Jeremy Mueller is the proud owner of Electrical Plus. Before Jeremy became an electrician, he served our country in the United States Navy. As a Hydraulics Mechanic, he had a connection to a shipmate who taught him the skills of an electrician. After working for an electrical company for seven years, Jeremy decided to start his own business. As a young entrepreneur, Jeremy created Electrical Plus in his garage. Sixteen years later, he now has two locations with 17 employees.
During an interview with Jeremy, he was asked what his favorite part about being a business owner is. He answered, “I have the ability to change people’s lives. One being the clients that we meet with, and two being the employees that are working for me.” Not only this, but Jeremy believes one of the responsibilities of owning a business is giving back to the community. Local Chambers of Commerce
Jeremy is a member of three local chambers: Exton Region Chamber of Commerce, Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce and Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. The ERCC is a voluntary, nonprofit organization connecting businesses and the community in central Chester County since 1972. Electrical Plus serves as a Gold Sponsor for Exton Region Chamber, which includes being the presenting sponsor at Breakfast with Santa and various other ERCC events. Electrical Plus is the presenting sponsor at the Western Chester County Chamber’s golf outing, which benefits scholarships for students pursuing the trades. Jeremy pursues to be an active member in the community and enjoys inspiring interest to trades.
North Star of Chester County
Jeremy is also a board and program committee member of North Star of Chester County. Low wages and the lack of affordable housing throughout Chester County often make raising a family hard for single parents. North Star is committed to helping single, working parents succeed by offering rental assistance, mentoring, and other family support. As a board member, Planning Committee member, and Furniture Delivery Team member, Jeremy has committed to creating a positive impact for the hard-working single mothers and fathers who strive to support their families.
West Chester Passport Rotary
Jeremy is also a member of the West Chester Passport Rotary. The goal of the Passport Rotary is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through their fellowship of business, professional and community leaders. Jeremy and the other members and board of directors are able to serve the organization and its mission through service projects, social gatherings, and club meetings.
BNI of West Chester
Jeremy has been involved in West Chester BNI, short for Business Network International, for 16 years. BNI is a significant business networking organization that allows small business owners to connect, give and receive referrals, and build their network. Jeremy joined the West Chester membership committee right after he started Electric Plus. In the West Chester branch, Jeremy served as President for three years, Vice President for four years, and Educational Coordinator for three years. Being a member of BNI has allowed Jeremy to create relationships and work with other business owners in the area.
Other Community Involvement
Jeremy also gives back to the youth in his community by meeting with schools in the area for the Business Roundtable for Trades and Vets. Through his work and community involvement, it is unmistakable that Jeremy loves interacting with those around him and connecting with the community through charitable works.
